Scholarships

Many of the following scholarships applications are not available at this time, please check dates for application submissions.

Orville and Martha Ness Scholarship Fund
The requirements are as followed:

1. The applicant must be of good moral character.
2. The applicant must be a graduate of an accredited high school in Williams or Divide County, North Dakota.
3. The applicant must have an earnest desire for a college education.

4. The applicant must have had a 3.0 cumulative GPA average or better academic standing throughout high school. Or, the applicant must have had a 3.0 cumulative GPA average or better academic standing throughout the previous college semester.
5. The applicant must be a full time student.
6. The applicant must attach a current transcript.
Deadline: July 1, 2020


Williams County Farm Bureau Scholarship
Eligibility: Williams County seniors who plan to attend a ND college or university. Priority for seniors who have parents or grandparents who live in Williams County and are current members of the Williams County Farm Bureau.
Deadline: May 31, 2020

Nemont Scholarship
Eligility: Seniors who have parents/guardians who are current Nemont customers. More requirements, see link for details.
Deadline: April 3

PB&J Scholarship
For seniors at Williston High School who plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college/university in the fall of 2020. No GPA, test score requirements

Williston Lions Club Scholarship
Scholarship for graduating seniors. If you cannot print or do not have access to a printer, please contact Greg Everson at  greg@wil.midco.net, he will mail you a copy.

North American Coal Freedom Mine Scholarship

Eligibility: Be a resident of North Dakota ■ Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher ■ Be a high school senior planning to pursue a degree in the following majors: − Accounting, Business, Engineering, IT, Surveying − Diesel, Electrical, or Welding Technology

Reugn T. Guenthner Scholarship
Eligibility The applicant must meet all of the following requirements:
• Have completed one or more career and technical education courses between grades 9 and 12; (Career and Technical Education courses may be in any of the following programs: Agriculture Education, Business Education, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, Health Sciences Education, Information Technology Education, Marketing Education, Technology and Engineering Education, or Trade, Industry and Technical Education).
• Enroll in a two-year North Dakota public postsecondary institution.
• Enroll as a full-time student in a career and technical education program of two years or less.

North Dakota Dollars for Scholars
This encourages post secondary education attendance for North Dakota students by creating statewide scholarship opportunities and supporting local Dollars for Scholars chapters which provide local scholarship opportunities.

Credit Union Foundation of the Dakotas
The Credit Union Foundation of the DakotAs will award ten $500 scholarships for applicants that exemplify the credit union philosophy of "people helping people" through volunteering, community service, and leadership.

The Williston Coyote Foundation awards over 50 scholarships exclusively to graduating seniors of Williston High School. It awards more money to graduating than any other public school foundation in the state of North Dakota. Fill out one simple application form to apply to all these scholarships.
