Haley Jeannotte graduated from Rolla High School in 1999. She played volleyball at Bismarck State College and coached high school volleyball while attending BSC, where she realized she enjoyed working with adolescents. She transferred to UND where she got her Bachelor's in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies and a minor in Middle Level Education in 2004.

She spent 8 years teaching social studies, then decided that school counseling was a good fit as she has always been interested in students' behavior and problem solving with them, as well as helping them set and achieve goals for graduation and beyond. She graduated with her Master's in School Counseling in 2014. She is in her fifth year as a counselor at Williston High School.

"I work with the senior class so my duties include everything from preparing for graduation to preparing for college and careers. One of my favorite things is graduation...it's such a culminating event for over 12 years of education and such an exciting beginning for those students! It's such an exciting day for students and families, so much pride fills up the gym! I love hearing Pomp and Circumstance!"

Fun fact: "I have a miniature wiener dog named Tinker Belle and once had a pet lamb named Baby that I bottle-fed when I was around 9, she got to stay in our house."
