Jazz Band/Choir is an extra-curricular activity offered at Williston High School open to all musicians in band or choir. The ensembles are geared towards teaching students the fundamentals of Jazz music and improvisation. It allows students to explore other styles of music. The extracurricular ensembles are open to all grades, but will help students that would ultimately like to audition for the Jazz Band and Vocal Jazz classes, both auditioned groups, at WHS.
Students will have the opportunity to travel and perform both the local community and to different festivals, including the Magic City Jazz Festival or the University of Mary Jazz Festival. The extra-curricular Jazz Band meets on Monday evenings from 6 p.m.-6:50 p.m. in the WHS Band Room.
