Drama Club

Department Page:

The mission of the Williston High School Drama Club is to inspire a lifelong passion for the performing arts in our students. We create two productions each school year: the Fall Musical and the Spring Play. Students involved in drama use creativity and communication through music, dance, and acting. The Drama Club also gives students the opportunity to letter, as explained in the Lettering Requirements for WHS Theater

The WHS Drama Club has multiple groups students take part in:

  • Actors and actresses
  • Costume design and application
  • Pit orchestra
  • Stage Crew/Set Building
  • Tech/Run crew

The Fall Musical is produced over a series of 12 weeks, and the Spring Play preparation goes for 9 weeks. Preparing for these productions include several rehearsals during the school week, weekend set design and construction, and multiple after-school sessions for costume fittings, sound and light cue building, and technical adjustments. The Fall Musical runs from September through November, and the Spring Play runs late January/early February through late March/Early April.
